People have a stronger natural tendency towards either the Orthodox stance (left leg/arm forward) or the Southpaw stance (right leg/arm forward). The FytFit tutorials and training session imagery is presented in two separate versions, to suit either the Orthodox or Southpaw user.
It is very important to understand your own personal preference and select the correct ‘FytFit 12-Step Guide to Boxing’ version. Generally, the more dominant arm is the backhand in boxing, so if you are right-handed then you would be Orthodox; if you are left-handed you would be Southpaw. If you were asked to throw a ball as far as possible, which hand would you naturally use? This is probably your stronger and more accurate arm, so you should choose the stance that positions it at the rear or backhand position.
You can experiment using both Orthodox and Southpaw settings to discover your personal preference through real training experience.
Boxing is a global sport, and techniques and styles vary. It may be beneficial to experiment with other learning resources and watch real boxing matches to further develop your FytFit training experience.
